A Squirrels Dilemma
On the one paw: I am scared to death
On the other paw: I want to eat all this yummy corn
On the third paw: I have seen this guy run before
On the fourth paw: I think I will let him come another 10 feet before I haul ass over this fence
Grack Attack!

Had a couple of these take an interest in the new feeder. I thought they looked kind of cool with their all black body and bright yellow eyes.
Then I watched them use their beaks to throw all the food on the ground in order to get at the sun flower seeds. Then I thought they looked like they need to go! Switched over to just Safflower seed and they seem to be leaving it alone, and are back to cleaning up after the squirrels.

Found this cool looking bird feeder at the store this weekend. This was my first customer. Went with a mix for the feed, but the blackbirds threw all the little seeds out on the ground. Think I will go with just the sunflower seeds next time.

Small Cactus Flower

Playing with my new toy and using it to take pictures of small things. THe lady next door moved and left us a cactus that had these tiny, pink flowers on it. Don’t think it turned out to bad, but a real macro lens is definitely going on my (growing) want list.
